How do I check today’s rate?
Open the exchange rates page. Our staff publish our buy and sell rates there, with the time they were last updated. For a large amount, WhatsApp +256 705 999672 with the currency and amount and the team will confirm the rate and have the notes ready.
What do “we buy” and “we sell” mean?
“We buy” is the rate we pay you in Uganda shillings when you bring foreign currency. “We sell” is the rate you pay in Uganda shillings to take foreign currency home.
Which currencies do you exchange?
The rate board lists the currencies we are currently buying and selling. If yours isn’t listed, message the branch before you travel.
What do I need to bring?
An original, valid identification document for your transaction. For transfers, also bring the reference number; for agency banking, your account details; for mobile money, your phone and the recipient number. Never send ID photos through an unverified online channel.
Which money transfer services do you offer?
Western Union, MoneyGram and Altras for sending and receiving. Transfast for receiving only. Routes, limits and fees are set by each provider.
Can I use agency banking for my bank?
Equity Bank and Bank of Africa agency services are available, and other participating banks are served through the shared platform. DFCU Bank and Stanbic Bank are not available, and Centenary Bank withdrawals are not available on the shared platform.
Do you offer mobile money?
Yes. MTN Mobile Money and Airtel Money at the counter. M-Pesa for sending, receiving, bills and payments; Mixx by Yas (formerly TigoPesa) for deposits; Alipay and WeChat Pay for sending.
Where are you and when are you open?
Inside Voice Mall, Bwebajja, on the Kampala–Entebbe Road. Monday to Saturday: 8:00 am–9:00 pm. Sundays and public holidays: 9:00 am–6:00 pm. Public holiday hours apply even when the holiday falls between Monday and Saturday.
